Customer Care / IT Manager (In-Office)

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile professional to take on a new, dual role of Customer Care / IT Manager to join our team. In this dual-role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service while also providing technical support for our internal IT systems. What you’ll be doing:
- Independently captaining Ascendant’s Customer Care team, serving as the builder and operator of our systems and go-to advocate for our diverse customer communities
- Ever improving the speed and thoroughness with which we receive, address and resolve customers’ questions and concerns, including by implementing automation
- Maintaining a high level of product knowledge of our six brands’ 600+ products
- Assisting our team members in resolving basic to intermediate IT issues
- Shaping company strategy and processes, making your contribution to our evolving culture and competitive advantages
What we’re looking for:
- 2+ years experience in customer service or equivalent roles
- Commitment to ensuring no customer question or concern goes unaddressed
- Upbeat, undaunted, resourceful problem-solver
- Empathetic listener, with a smooth, poised phone manner
- Capable at writing thoroughly and persuasively
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and other office software tools
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking
- Curiosity to learn how to be a whiz at resolving everyday IT issues (e.g. “Have you tried rebooting yet?”)
- Willingness to travel 1-2 times per year
- Experience with customer service ticketing systems (e.g. Asana, Front, Zendesk) a plus
- Exposure to ecommerce operations a plus
Compensation:
- $42,000-55,000 budgeted compensation range, depending on experience
- Profit sharing-based bonus program
